Personal Narrative: How Supernatural Has Changed My Life

The show Supernatural has changed my life and perspective on life. As you know from my previous chapters,Emma, showed me the show and I love it. Watching Supernatural could make the flames on a candle dance. You’re going to laugh when I say this, but it's more than just a show to me. Yes, I can hear you laughing. The show Supernatural is about two brothers following their father's footsteps as "hunters" fighting evil supernatural beings of many kinds including monsters, demons, and gods that roam the earth. Overwhelming… isn't it? In all honesty it's more than fighting monsters. The creator of the show, Eric Kripke, made the most fulfilling and different television series any person could make. Supernatural sends different messages and lessons to the viewers in a comedic way (which I love). Most television series have a lot of drama, but Supernatural can go from having a serious scene then having the character say, “No …show more content…
Sam's character is known for making mistakes… If I told you what he did I feel like I would be sent to a mental institution just for typing about it. But, Sam, also taught me that trust doesn't come with a refill and that you get one chance and he's not wrong. I give people one chance and if they blow it, they blow… A single lie that's told is enough to create doubt in the person you’re speaking to. There's a lot of lying on the show. Sam lies a lot to his brother, Dean. Sam and Dean always give each other another chance because they’re family. Dean even said, “A wise man once said, family don't end with blood, but it shouldn't start there either”. That's another thing Supernatural has taught me, families there, for the good, bad, all of it. The way these brothers act towards each other is how everyone should act. We don't realize that one day our siblings won't be there to stand up for

When I first heard that we were going to be doing another speech I honestly was not happy about it at all because like many of you I was ready for school to be done for the summer. I began to think about it though and instantly I had three books that popped into my head and I thought that this assignment was not going to be hard. The three books that came to mind was: Coming Back Stronger: Unleashing the Hidden Power of Adversity written by Drew Brees, Friday Night Lights written by Buzz Bissinger, and the last one was Through My Eyes: A Quarterback’s Journey written by Tim Tebow.…

Having a paranormal experience can be bloodcurdling, but it can also be a phenomenal experience to look back on. When I was about thirteen years old, I had my first experience with a Ouija board. A Ouija board is used to communicate with people that are no longer among the living. I was with my uncle Elvis, who is my mother’s brother. My uncle took me to his friend’s apartment, and at that moment he pulled out what appeared to be a very ancient Ouija board.…

Standing underneath the Friday night lights is always nerve-wracking, but this time it was even more so than normal. It was the first time I have ever performed on the football field as a majorette; which is a very big accomplishment for me. As the drum major calls the band to attention, I pose and try to calm myself down. When the band starts playing, I start performing, but the thing is that it was nothing like doing during practice. This time I was not even thinking.…

All of the people are very immature, not realizing what is fact and what is fantasy. There are some people that are kind, however, they must realize that when someone is dead, they cannot be ever resurrected by anything else. However, it doesn’t really mean that everybody is immature with fear. In some cases, other people will take fear in a different way. Sam is a businessman, which has not been making business.…

It’s very strange how one experience or choice you make in your life can change the rest of your life that follows that event, would you then in turn change these decisions you made. Such as your what if your mom conceived you not on the knowing basis. What if everyone was telling her not to because she was to be a single mom and that’s not a world a child should be born into, but then what if she challenged this belief that she grew up with. This then in turn affected all her choices later in life, but then vice versa what if she didn't challenge this belief and stuck with what she knew. This may be of the more extreme choices in life that some people must make but we all have that certain time in our life that comes where we must break away and make…

In addition, he also abused the kids and the pets. For this reason, I think that drinking alcohol can lead to sociopathic and antisocial behavior. Another important point to mention is the was Sam manipulated and make believe others that he was a good person and that Beth was the one who lied about the abuse. Throughout the book I could count even more than sixty violence acts against Beth, the children and the pets. Sam was a high risk offender who occupied all the component of the Power and Control Wheel.…

“A handful of moments I wished I could change, but I was carried away,” are the lyrics that remind a lot about myself. Growing up, and even about two years ago, I was insanely shy and did not talk much around people, friends, or family. The way I talked to people was in a timid, soft spoken way, which looking back, was awfully embarrassing. My friends and family would laugh at me because I could not talk well, and when I did talk, they acted as if I were a baby who just said its first words. With all of that nonsense going on, their idiotic response kind of made me not want to say anything anymore.…

You would think that death would devastate someone for the rest of their life, but my brother’s death actually changed my life. I’m not saying that his death didn’t have a negative effect on me, but it had more of a positive effect on me than anything. Almost everyone will meet, or has met someone in college that has significantly changed their lives. For me, it didn't take long at all for me to meet that person. I met her on our second day of college of our first semester, basically my second day of my entire college career. I didn't realize it right away, but over time I noticed that she was really changing my life. I would have never met this person in high school because first of all she lives in a different town, but even if we did live in the same town, or even went to the same high school, I still would have never known her because I didn't really branch out and make a lot of friends back then.…
