Personal Narrative: How She Evolved Into A New School

Y/N sighed as she walked into her new school, being in Colorado was weird to her. Her parents moved from this state to Illinois, and other states between that period until now. She moved in fifth grade, and now coming back here for junior year. It left a weird feeling on her, that she felt like she was at home but then not. She still got those nervous feelings as she did for every other school she went to, the feelings never eased away and the pain of her friends she left behind still felt the same.
Walking into the school, she saw people running to their locker as it was close to first period already. I wonder if anyone I know is still here, if I even remember them.

Is she new?” Eric asked Dylan, staring up at him while he leaned against the blue locker with his arms crossed.
“Maybe, probably.” He mumbled his answer, surprised by the fact Eric even heard it from how loud the hallway was.
“Come on, we should go. Don’t want to be late for our first class.” Eric took one last glance at her, being interested in her for some reason, and then walking down the hallway with his best friend.

Later in the day, Eric walked up to Brooks while he had his usual smoke outside of school. This was weird for the both of them because it seemed like this was one of the very few times they actually got along without any drama between the two.
“Hey,” Eric spoke breathlessly as he covered himself with his jacket that was left in his locker, making use of it now as winter was coming soon.
“Hi,” Brooks replied back as he blew out the smoke into the chilly air, smirking in pride as he watched his smoke drift off into nothing.
“You- uh, know that new girl?” Brooks nodded as he laid his head against the wall of the school, smoking again. Eric continued, “Well do you know anything about her?”
