Personal Narrative: How Lakia Changed My Life

About a year ago, I never thought I will find that special person that will change my life in so many ways. I was a person that stayed to myself in school and at work. I was considered a shy person. I never thought that anybody would like or even date me. I was one of those smart, popular kids. I barely even talk to females, but don’t get me wrong, I had a couple females that liked me but wasn’t my type. But everything chanced once I met the love of my life, LaKia.
My life changed when LaKia started working at Kroger with me. I remember when I saw her coming into the store for her second interview, that’s when she caught my attention. I wanted her to be mines at that very moment. She looked like a good female, smart and head strong. The day

I wanted to be more than friends; I wanted her to be mines. But there was one thing in the way of that; LaKia had feelings for someone else. When I found out I was hurt because I really liked her. In the little of amount of time I knew her, she impacted my life. Every time I would call she was doing homework or tutoring someone. That’s when I knew I had to put my education first as well. Not only that but, I noticed when I hear her name I would smile, when she come around me my heart warms up. I had to do everything in my power to make sure she was mines. Not only did she keep me on the right track, she also kept me out of trouble, and changed my mindset. Ever since she came into my life everything changed for the better. She has changed my social life, personal life and the educational part of my life. I am truly blessed that she came into my life because without her I would’ve never be able to do half the things I do now, for example wanting to further my education. From her showing me the way and changing my mindset, I can see my future. I can see all the goals I want to reach in life because of LaKia. She is the best thing that has ever happened to
