In the back roads behind TV HWY, I was speeding up to 100 mph down a narrow road in which was my car almost lost traction to the road - only to be pressured to carrying out such as a dangerous act of stupidity just to impress my peers how fast my car was. I only just received my recently purchased car about 7 weeks ago, with the satisfaction that I got a car all for myself, the ecstatic joy shocked me to my core. When I first test drove my car, I would not stop smiling as my fond of cars only just fueled my desire to take care of my car. But suddenly when everyone realized I had a brand-new car at the time, they wanted to see how fast the car is, others even wanted to race against me. The most irritating part is that I didn’t want to be pushing …show more content…
At the time, my friends (that will remain anonymous) that loves cars went to the parking lot where I was parked outside to see them. Since they knew how to drive, they took a seperate car. They came out of their cars and then started to exclaiming if the car they saw next to me was mine when it was. When they realized that it was my car, they asking to see what was under the hood, so I putted a lever to open up the hood. They examined the engine and other parts of the car. After finishing they asked if we ever speeded in our car but of course the answer was no because of how long I had owned the car. After explaining my answer, my friends suggested that we should try to speeding with them. At first, I turned down that suggestion saying it was dangerous and I had never drove fast in a rural or city area (I had drove 75 mph in the interstate highway through regulated speed signs). But after apprehending that I’m a “good” driver, I took on their proposal and got in my car and proceed to start up my car. As I opened the car’s door to sit in my seat, I inserted my keys into the ignition slot and then turned the keys and the engine rumbles. In my rear sight, I see my friends signaled for me to follow so I began to reverse and then shift into drive mode to follow them. I signaled out to Century Blvd where I then made it out to TV HWY. With my car, right behind my friend’s car,

My instinct urged me that I cannot do it. Taking a moment to reflect on the journey, I had overcome my fear of failure. Thinking of all the positive accomplishments I have made, in return of making the experience positive. While waiting I so happen to lose track of time until I hear the car door open and to hear the words “I want you to drive to the end of the street, reverse all the way back here, and do the parallel parking before we proceed onto the road test”. As I approach the parallel parking bay, I think to myself, it is best to get it over with rather than to drag it out any further.…

When I was in high school I got my first car and every morning before I would leave for school, my mom would always tell me to “drive safe and go straight to school, no stops!” and I would do just that. Unlike any other morning after arriving to school, I decided to find my two friends and leave to go to Chick-fil-a. We had fifteen minutes to get there and back without being late for school. While trying to cross a 4-lane road, I was t-boned by an older lady who was texting while driving. I didn’t see her…

I learned a lot and I will forever bring this with me whenever I am in a car, driving or not. I realized during this that nobody’s life is worth getting somewhere in a hurry. You should leave with the correct amount of time to get to your destination without having to speed. Speeding is not, and never will be, the answer to getting places on time. If you have to speed to get to where you’re going, maybe you should change your plans for another day.…

The car had just received a brand new pearlescent black protective coating paint, on either side of the car I could not find an imperfection. As I walked round the car I noticed that all four 19-inch wheels had been polished to perfection, I opened the driver’s door and to my surprise the interior was almost perfectly polished. I started the car and opened the hood to check the engine, the rumbles and sounds of v-6 supercharged 3.5-liter engine with 350 horsepower made me felt that it is the one. I was stunned and could not even bargain to bring the price down, so do all my friends. I paid him, got all the necessary document and we drove back to my…

Being part of the generation who grew up watching Fast and the Furious films has always made me want to drive a car. At that time I knew I still had a while before I could drive, but any chance I got to be in the driver seat I would. My first time I ever got behind the wheel was right after I watch the fast and the furious in 2001. It was during the summer, my mom was washing her car and according to her “I accidently locked myself inside and somehow I managed to turn the car on and started backing up the car.” My mom was so scared she started yelling “put the car on park” “put the car on park” but I had no clue what she meant.…

I looked up to my left and saw a guard rail with a river behind it, the car was heading towards it. My sister took control of the wheel and steered us the best she could towards the ditch. It was all green everywhere as the rear of the car hit the ditch first and spun us around, sending the front hitting the ditch as well. We spun around one more time, completing two 360’s. It might have been the wrong thought, but I was thinking about the airbags deploying at top speed, knocking us in the face, and injuring…
