This however open a new gateway to an era, where manpower alone isn’t required to become successful in life. Regret still lingers, if only a small consideration was given in physical atonement. Eventually, boredom started to rise, and playing by the rules …show more content…

We have the choice to go where we want, choose what we desire, and do what we please, as long as we stay within the limited freedoms given to us by society. However, are these restrictions necessary? Is one obligated to keep their ideas to themselves, in fear of being ridiculed by their superiors and associates? When one thinks of Iowa, one does not necessarily think of cultural diversity. The more and more I think about it as I have matured, it was exceedingly challenging to grow up as an Asian in my community. That is because I sometimes had trouble understanding the culture of others and my own culture at my young age. When I was younger, I found it very challenging to understand many of the things my peers and teachers were saying figuratively. For example, I had difficulty understanding jokes, so I took them literally and did not know they were joking.…

“Should Gamers Be Prosecuted For Virtual Stealing?” by Alex Weiss is an argumentative essay in which he calls out the criminal system for allegedly putting on trial a teenager for committing theft in a virtual game. Even though it was a very straightforward trial, it quickly turned heated when questioning whether or not it was correct to trial him. Also, more important, it makes us ask ourselves, are actions in a game a proof of a person’s ethical values and beliefs? Weiss states that putting someone on trial for virtual theft is not only incorrect but also dangerous. Just because someone committed a lot of crimes in a game, it means he will commit these crimes in the real life.…

My brother was wrongfully arrested because a Caucasian officer expressed that he saw him rob someone. Upon arrival at the scene trying to understand what happened, that officer expressed in his words that “ nigger you know you robbed that store”. I couldn’t believe that this was happening to me because, I have always heard about situations like this. The officer made more remarks such as, “you niggers are always stealing”, “you niggers will always be shit”, and you are going to pay for this crime even if you did not do it.…
