Over the summer, I went to go visit my aunt Kim and uncle Tom in Schertz, Texas. This was my very first vacation with extended family all alone. I had been on vacations with friends but this felt different. This felt more independent and responsible to me. My older sister, Sophia, had gone to visit them when she was 13 so it was my turn. Aunt Kim had started a tradition this way. When my little sister turns 13, she'll have her turn as well. We drove all the way from my home in Dubuque to Schertz which is neighboring on San Antonio. We're leaving!" I heard my aunt shout. "Ok! Bye!", I shouted in response. Since we just got to Texas and didn't have any groceries, my loving relatives decided to go out and purchase foods that I love. I thought of myself as a mature, grown-up young woman and therefore I would be able to handle crazy toddlers. The adorable young-uns had just eaten a nutritious breakfast of spilled oranges and messy cereal so of course it was time to run amuck and break things. As I was chasing my cousins around and around the house, saving valuable items from hitting the ground, I realized that all this running will get old. I underestimated them; this activity didn’t tucker them out for nearly 30 minutes! I was a lot more out of breath than they were. Eventually, Hunter and Mia grew bored of this and moved on to the variety of games they enjoyed. One of which was the famous hide and go
