"About 15 to 20 minutes" my trainer said in a tired voice. The roads to get there were very quiet and peaceful since nobody was out driving around at 7:45 in the morning on a Saturday. We were just getting to the show when we realized we had missed the turn to get into the show grounds. We had to go down the street and find a place big enough to turn a horse trailer around in which took about 5 minutes. Once we finally go to the show the classes I was showing in was about to start in 15 minutes. I rushed to get my horse, Lexus, all brushed off and tacked up. I had missed time to get her warmed up over fences. Luckily quite a few other people were late so they added another 20 minutes to school over jumps. My horse was freaking out. It was cool that day, so it felt pretty good to be in a coat of some sort, but once I started riding it got warm very quickly. The first class I did was a warm up class with a series of 8 jumps set at 2 foot surrounded by flowers; When i walked into the arena i was starting to get nervous that I would forget the order. I went around the course very confidently except we knocked a rail. I got very mad at myself but got over it quickly since it was not a rated show. There were only 4 more jumping classes after that and then 3 classes. My one class that I did was one of the best jumping rounds I have ever had. My trainer kept saying it was a fantastic course. After seeing the other horses go, I thought i wasn’t going to do that good. I was so impressed when the announcer started saying what places everyone got.
