My favorite family recipe is called Gateau Au Beurre it is a Haitian cake recipe; to make this delicious, mouth water dessert you will need. 2 Cups of All-purpose flour, 1 1/2 cups of sugar, 3 large eggs, 2 sticks of butter, 3 teaspoon of baking powder, 2 teaspoon of dark rum (Barbancourt), 2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon of lime zest, 1 teaspoon of nutmeg, and finally 2 teaspoon of salt. The first step in this process is to take the 2 cups of flour you placed out and pass it through a small hand held strainer twice it will help reduce the lumps. You will repeat this step for the sugar too after that you will mix the soften butter and sugar into a large bowl until mixed together well for 5 minutes.
