As I stated before Baker takes an unusual route of giving a recipe. He is very detailed as he explains how to make chocolate sauce. Baker uses pathos in his essay to connect with the audience. He wants us to experience what he does when he makes chocolate sauce. For example, “Turn off the heat, or turn it down so low that you don’t have to worry about it” (p.…

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees fahrenheit so it will be ready when needed. This temperature will result in the brownies being perfectly gooey. The next step is to make Fudgy Brownie batter which will end up being the base of the recipe. First, melt 2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips and 1 stick of butter together in a saucepan over low heat. Stirring consistently is essential to prevent the mixture from sticking to the base of the pan.…

My favorite family recipe is called Gateau Au Beurre it is a Haitian cake recipe; to make this delicious, mouth water dessert you will need. 2 Cups of All-purpose flour, 1 1/2 cups of sugar, 3 large eggs, 2 sticks of butter, 3 teaspoon of baking powder, 2 teaspoon of dark rum (Barbancourt), 2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon of lime zest, 1 teaspoon of nutmeg, and finally 2 teaspoon of salt. The first step in this process is to take the 2 cups of flour you placed out and pass it through a small hand held strainer twice it will help reduce the lumps. You will repeat this step for the sugar too after that you will mix the soften butter and sugar into a large bowl until mixed together well for 5 minutes. Soon after mixing you…

I even took 2 years of ceramics classes and an AP 3D art class to better my skill. I like the idea that I can replicate something while making it edible as well. I love working with fondant, gum paste, and modeling chocolate.…

I was excited to go as well, because I knew my best friends, Jesse and Hannah, would be there, too. The night we arrived, Jeff suggested we enjoy some milkshakes in the city.…
