In 2012 I was living in Tulsa Oklahoma, as a homeless veteran. I moved into a low income apartment. In February I drove across town to pick up my girlfriend, in a blizzard. During this trip I was in a near fatal head-on collision. I discussed the situation with a few of my closest friends, one of which said, “Eric, God was not done with me yet.” Later on that year I decided to relocate back to my home town of Akron Ohio, where I was diagnosed with 70 % bone on bone in my right knee along with osteoarthritis. The Doctor later told me that I also had spinal stenosis. He recommended that I file for disability. During this time, I decided to prove my critics wrong, and go after my lifelong dream of a college degree. In 2014 I decided to
