"Well, it's time for Katie's nap time, and it looks like she's not hungry anymore. I'll be dropping her off next Tuesday for the day, your mom knows?" Lauren's grandma bends down and lifts the little girl by her armpits into her arms. I haven't broken eye contact with Katie since, and she is still smiling shyly. Or maybe not shyly, some kids are different and all kids are weird.

"Ya Grandma, she knows." Lauren inches forward in line, and her grandmother takes a step out of it.

"Bye then darlings. Good meeting you Mackenzie!" She waves one hand at me, and starts to turn away.

"Bye Grandma!"
"Bye, nice meeting you too!"

And I lose sight of the little girls eyes as her grandmother turns around and walks out of the food court. I turn back to Lauren, only to see she isn't there. I look forward, and Lauren is talking to the random girl at the counter, probably giving our order.

"Ya, um, 6 muffins please, all banana bran. Thanks." Lauren turns to face me, and rests her body on the counter.

"What are you thinking?" She asks me, and taps her thumb on the green plastic taped onto the counter.

The container of muffins is just barely being held between my thumb and middle finger, and the rest of my hands are holding bags. Bags of amazing garments which you will soon see what. I walk past the sticky plastic tables with Lauren right behind me, and we walk through the giant exit doors. As Lauren and I walk out these giant doors, a few girls start walking in. I, sadly, recognize these girls. Kasey, Amanda, and the other slutty bitches of our school, and others. I don't know, it just seems like all sluts stick together. At least that's what Kasey demonstrates to me. It's incredible how skanky you can actually lool, and guys still hit on you.
