I am lying down on deck, tanning under the bright, beaming sun. My dad steers the boat, we are isolated with no one in sight. We float calmly, its as peaceful as a butter fly. My father calls out too me with his rugged voice
"Tiarne, can you grab me my water bottle please?"
I sit up and ignore him as I look out too the infinite stretch of sea. I hear him murmur curse words from under his breathe as he trots too the water, he gives me a deathly stare then continues to steer the ship to no destination.
My phone start too buzz which scares me and makes my heart skip a beat. I pick my phone up steadily as I'm afraid ill drop it. I look down to see a message by Mum. It reads
"Hi darling, how has your day been at school? Don't get into too much trouble. I will see you tomorrow night xx"

I haven't been too school for the past two days, but Mum doesn't know that. Bedsides Dad thinks its a good idea too bond instead... Which I beg to differ. I don't reply as I know she will be disappointed in me that I haven't been going, plus it may cause another fight between Mum and Dad! So instead I switch my phone off, and try too relax before reality pounces back into my day.

Its been over an hour now, and every time I inhale it smells like freedom. The air is as clear as diamonds look! I thought to myself that I could be out here like this everyday. Its like relaxation has taken over my body,I feel like I'm on top of the world!
I start too feel hungry as the minutes pass by. I scream out too

Buninybah We build their cities, we run their machines, we fight their wars. We are nothing more than fuel; fuel that powers the elite; the elite that hide behind their logos of corporations. This is their world and their most valuable resource is not in the ground; it is us. After all, money is not what drives them, its power; money is simply the tool they use to control us; worthless pieces of paper we depend on to move, feed and entertain ourselves.…

The crisp breeze rustled my hair as I walked out of my house on the fall September day with my dad drilling instructions into my head. It was my first Little League baseball game ever, and my dad wanted to make sure it wasn’t my last. Being seven years old and never touching a baseball was something that had scared me; a lot. I had no idea what to think about this foreign, petrifying, game could possibly be about. The car ride from my house was only a few minutes away from the fields where I would begin my baseball career.…

I turn on the TV after I finish getting ready for school. I don’t have to leave for another 20 minutes, so I figure watching or listening to the news is a way to fill in that time. My eyes watch my fingertips dance across my phone and I hit send to my friend, Abigail, telling her I'm leaving shortly. I switch to Instagram liking every post I see as my eyes glance up to the tv for a brief moment and see that a well known kid from my school, Luke Hemmings, has been considered a “missing person” as of this moment. I listen more intently now as the news has grabbed my attention.…

On a late and quiet night, I thought it would be nice to go on the row boat and lay on the boat for a while. It was nerve-racking going through the woods, but it was not bad. Once I got onto the boat, I rowed further out into the water until I felt like I was out far enough. It was beautiful, I laid back putting the notebook up where my feet were, and looked up at the stars with my cigarette in my mouth. Inhaling and exhaling the smoke, in and out, in and out, in and out.…

I had an amazing fun last weekend with my husband. On last Friday we were browsing for places nearby to have fun and suddenly, we found whale watching in Rey harbor, Portsmouth. I was so excited and looking for more information about it. Then I found their prices, timings and availability on online and booked the tickets for the next day afternoon at 2’o clock. On Saturday I woke up early, prepared food and had lunch and we started at 12:15pm to whale watching which took nearly 1hr drive from my home.…

I was bored, really bored, who would not get bored in the middle of History class? I began to look absent-mindedly at the window, there was really nothing interesting outside either, and here I was locked in the second hour of the day, a Monday, and a kind of history. Is the universe against me? I see it very possible, in that moment I move my hand sharply causing my pencil to fall to the ground, I try to reach it, but my attempts are useless -Hey-…

The forest, the wind breezing by and pine cones scattered against the ground, the giant oak trees were the mothers of the forest and the baby saplings were the forest’s children. As a child, I never was able to go outside since I was a girl, but I could not wait for the days I would be able to climb to the top of the trees. However, when I turned fourteen I began going outdoors, and it was elevating. I’d take walks barefoot throughout my neighborhood and pick up dandelions that grew out by the roads. I would go to a friend’s house and there was a forest beyond the creek, and we would always leave in the afternoon to explore.…

Part One As we walked out of the school doors, a breeze hit us. With it being around ninety degrees out that day, a breeze was very unexpected, but it was there. The breeze caused signs and trees to move along with it. With the trees moving with the breeze there was the sound of the leaves rustling and this noise could be heard from over the ruckus of the highway. As these cars drove along the highway they passed between two cornfields that were next to the high school.…

The Humpback Whale Having no teeth has its disadvantages. Instead of having teeth like my distant cousins, the killer whales, who have the privilege of having a jagged row of teeth, I use my baleen to filter minuscule plankton, krill, and small fish from the water. Right now, I am traveling with a group of whales (called a pod) from Alaska to the warm waters Hawaii, with the intention of finding a mate. I look out into an intimidating body of water, after a drop of sweat falls off my face from biking to this beautiful destination, known as Lake Michigan. After I scope out the frigid windy lake, I walk down the bluff to begin my journey of learning to sail alone. As I touch the sand for the first time that day, it felt like I was pushing against a hot iron. As my dad and I make our way to the boat, my dad comes across the question, "Today looks like a nice day for you to try sailing alone, do you want too?". So many thoughts begin to run through my head like I have to answer a question for a million dollars.…

Float on With the wind calm and the lake reminding me of glass, I cast out, hoping for once I would catch something that was a little more marvelous than a bloody catfish. I had the sun shining down on me, allowing my reflection to be seen in the water. The day was absolutely stunning, with the sun beating down on me sitting on that dock. The smell of gasoline from the boats and the sound of geese and ducks all around. Seeing the clear water glisten and the movement of the fish beneath me made sitting out there so calm.…
