“Same old.” I let out a chuckle as Sergeant told us it was time to board. I got on the plane and suddenly I felt this rush of adrenaline that made me want to go at that moment. We still had to learn about the controls that had been added to the Mustang fighter. It took 30 minutes to learn but by 6 in the morning, it was time.
“Ready, Andersen? It's go time.”
I smiled and nodded as we headed closer to the end of the runway. Speeding up the closer we got until I lifted and we were in the air. It felt amazing to fly again. I was so nervous because if the drop went wrong, we were done and the axis powers would win. I felt so worried that when we hit hour 8, I felt worse about getting there by 11. At least it was only three more hours.
The rest of the plane ride was simple and fast. We ate some of food and Rhen and I talked a lot and caught up in each other's lives since we hadn’t seen each other much. But when we got the beach landings, it was time, time to do the impossible. I pulled the plane as close as I could get it to the number one spot to land, but when we looked down we realized there were people coming over from the Axis powers. The want for victory showed as they all gathered like barbarians coming to our landing spot. I began the worst worry of my entire
