I thought high school wouldn’t be much harder than middle school, I mean, how much harder would one more year be? And at first it was as easy as pie, and I guess I wouldn’t have minded it too much. But eventually, the huge piles of work finally found me when I wasn’t expecting it. It was as sudden as a car crash. (Simile)
No one likes waking up bright and early in the morning to go to school and do work that you don’t understand. You know, the ones that make your eyes roll up to your head. And the ones that make your brain stop listening (personification), making you feel stupid. And those lessons that you don’t see the purpose for. Maybe that’s how it is with everyone. That’s just how everyone is. Must be it.
People say the teachers are horrible. They say, “He gives out so much homework”, “They don’t care about our other classes”. But I don’t think so, they aren’t too bad. It’s not as if their job is any easier than ours. But sometimes you get one teacher that no one likes, like that teacher who yells at you for not looking at her while she’s talking and also yells at you for studying for the test next period when you already finished your work for that class. (Allusion) Thank goodness I don’t have her as a teacher anymore.
At least we have the holidays to look forward to. Everyone can’t wait for the holidays. No tests! No homework! But going back to school always looms in the back of our head. Always there. Always
