For example, he used to drive to Walgreens and always purchase Hershey’s chocolate for me. Also at every family gathering, he would always ask for dessert as he finished his meal of hard boiled eggs.
He said, “Haneyah, can I have some cake?”
Then I would reply, “You can’t because you’re diabetic.” I would smile, then we would both laugh as he kissed my hand and said, “Thank you, doctor!”
He would always remind me to work hard and encourage me to become a doctor. He was and still is my inspiration. His actions really touched my heart and someday when I graduate from Medical School I will be able to help people like he helped people, and give back to the people who helped him. Thinking back to all these memories my eyes were red, and my face was wet.
