The upbeat, yet somehow still quite mellow tune, was incredibly catchy. Musically the song was interesting; it was full of groovy pauses and a soothing, pulsing rhythmic guitar that gave me a perpetually joyful feeling that only grew as time went on. The artful picture painted by tender lyrics instantly drew me in and captured my otherwise fleeting attention. As curiosity overpowered my already diminished desire to study, I sat up in bed and grabbed my phone to check the name of the song: ‘Here Come Those Eyes.’ Reminiscing on old times, Rice sang out of the feeling of intense intoxication that is only experienced in the company of a high school crush.
