Improved Essays
Have you ever broken a bone in your life? My mom and her side of the family were at my grandpa’s campground he stays at in Iowa in a cabin, it was a august day and it was very warm. It was about 2008 and I was around 5. Every year we have a tradition of going there and going on the mississippi river that the campground is right on. My mom and I were standing across the road on the grass waiting. “ We’re almost done.” my mom said as she looked away to me the rest of my family just putting their stairs up to leave, it was the perfect chance to go get another lemonade popsicles like I had earlier for lunch. I ran around the bright white camper and saw the Jayco logo on the side, with the bird looking into my soul. I put one foot on one of the bars that held the stairs together to get in, I tried reaching for the handle but I fell. As I kept screaming and the tire was off my arm, my mom ran over to me and stood by my head, and yelling for help. I felt the tears in my eyes, streaming down my face. My uncle came over and look at my arm, skin was torn and I could see some of my bone. He lifted me up and brought me to my mom’s car where he sat me down on my mom’s lap. Most of my family piled into her car and we saw a park ranger running our way with something in his hand. Someone must have called him and told him what happened because he came with an ice pack. Mom took it and put it on where my arm was damaged. As she lightly placed it on my arm. I

Like all children all I ever wanted was to be big and do big people things. I engaged in a few family members that I would look up to and try everything they did. I use to pretend to go grocery shopping and being a parent at times. At the age of eight, I had worn the worst pain ever and that was watching my five, year old brother getting hit by a car while trying to cross the street riding a bicycle that had a loose chain. I remember him trying to get up and get to me, but a few adults that had witnessed the accident had told him to lay down.…

All I could feel was a car pushing me further into the ground pushing my lungs down and shutting air out of it. It felt too surreal I kept blinking as if I thought I’d wake up from this mess. I could see sirens and people gathering around me watching in disbelieve, I kept fading in and out of conscience I felt like I was close to death.…
