The view from the top of Harney Peak is simply breathtaking! You can't even imagine how many miles you can see from that height! The view just keeps going on and on. There also was the remains of an old watch tower up their, I asked my grandpa why they were up there and he didn't know. "Well, here we are." said Dad as put down his pack and took out his camera. "Can I get a picture of us all here?" After a couple of pictures, we found a place to site and decided to eat our supper up their. Suddenly, after I had finished my second hotdog, a helicopter zoomed past the peak. It flew past use and circled the peak three times. Then it flew right to the middle of the peak, and away from the tower, and landed right there, right in the middle of everybody. I climbed u and down the stairs, my dad took pictures, and grandpa took a nap by all our gear. About fifteen minutes and past and dad said we should pack up if we were going to make it down before it got dark. So, we packed everything back onto our backs and started back down the hill. At one point, the path split into two different paths going down the mountain. "We can either go down the same way we came and not see anything new, or we can take the other path and find new stuff to see." said my dad "Let's go down the new path." said grandpa, and I agreed. So we went down the path we hadn't taken, and about half way down the path, it started to rain. "Oh, great!" said grandpa, "Now we have to walk down in the rain!" I told grandpa that if we hurried up, we would make it down before it really started to downpour. So we started to walk a little faster and after about ten minutes, we reached the bottom and our car. Dad told me to get in the car and he would put the gear back in the car so only he would get wet. Luckily, he got in just in time, because as soon as he shut his door, the rain came down like a waterfall. Once dad got into the car and turned the keys, grandpa looked at the clock. It was nine thirty at night! It took us all day to climb Harney Peak, and I would do it all over
