Personal Narrative: Hand Surgery

I awoke to the sound of beeping, a constant yet rhythmic noise that made me feel a sense of being alive. As my eyes adjusted to the light I noticed the windows weren't like the ones in my room; a wave of panic washed over me. "Good Morning Baiju, do you know where you are?" a soft voice asked in an calming tone. It was the nurse from before the procedure, which triggered my memory. "I'm at the hospital, have the doctors already started the hand surgery?" "Exactly, and good news, you're in recovery after the procedure, your body rejected the pain killers and we had to anaesthetize you."
