Personal Narrative: Growing Up With A Car

Improved Essays
Growing up is something that everyone has to do without a choice. Driving is a choice that i will be choosing out the adult multiple choice. Before I started my research, I knew a couple things I wanted with my car. Since I am buying on a website, I want to make sure the owner or seller is trustworthy enough to be paying quite the money too. Also, I feel like the brand and how people feel about it always matter. Customers real reviews will matter since it is reflecting on how the car runs, feels, and cost. Ever since i started being independent in most things, I've wanted to dive myself and my friends places. Most people will say it will give them freedom but i just feel like it is a masture choice that is fun and equivalent to …show more content…
I think the cost is not too much at all. Range Rovers are known for being pretty pricey even when they are used. I was lucky to find this car lower than 30,000. This is not a great piece for a first car but, I do not expect this kind of car to be cheap. Kind of bigger cars like some range rovers, are more on the expensive side because of the space it has. 2016 Chevrolet Cruze LT1 is next for $12,995 fully and $213 a month. My dad has been driving this car for a couple years now and he got it for 20,000 so this is a pretty good deal for not a 2 year old car. I already know my way around the car so i wouldn't be wasting my money at all. “Smaller and pricier than some competitors” a customer says on Edmunds.com. 2014 Mercedes- Benz CLA 250 for $12,000 and $216 a month is next. Since this is a mercedes, it is going to be on the more expensive side so i was honestly shocked when i saw that it was not over 30,000. I always see this car on the road so i would think that it has a reasonable …show more content…
20 MPG City and 28 MPG Highway for the 2014 Range Rover Evoque. This is not very good considering where I am going to living contains some a lot of driving. Only 20 miles a gallon would mean I would have to spend more money on multiple gallons and live closer to where I work. 26 mpg (city) and 38 mpg (highway) is a bit different for the Chevrolet Cruze. This is better than the Range Rover because not only is it 6 hours more but it is over 10 miles more than the city miles. Even though I do not know if i will be use the highway, there is still a more miles on the city. 22 mpg (city) and 31 mpg (highway) for the 2014 Mercedes which is the most expensive car. This is about the same as the range rover just a couple miles more. Now I am starting to realize that this is going to be a normal amount for the cars I chose. So i would have to deal with about 20 and 30 miles per

The monthly payment was $149 versus $89, but my flight pay was $200, and Per Diem was $16 a day. Further, we had finished paying off Sarah’s student loan so we could afford it. It was a great car to drive, but after a couple months I found out there were considerable maintenance requirements- much more than the 356. First, Porsche designed the carburetors with an overflow gas bowl which, in theory, would keep a perfect gas level, but in practice didn’t. Spark plugs would load up with carbon every 3,000 miles and needed cleaning or replacing.…

My first car was something that I greatly was looking forward to getting as a child and my interest in getting one grew, as the days got closer to my sixteenth birthday. The first car I owned was a Automatic Black 2004 Ford f-150 truck, which I discovered on a website called Craigslist. It was priced at five thousand nine hundred dollars with only eighty-four thousand miles on it, which in my case was great considering that I could only afford a seven thousand dollar car. The truck came with all manual locks and windows and also had a small amount of hail damage that could really only be seen at a certain angle. But even with reasonable price on the truck I still attempted to negotiate for an even lower price to further my luck.…
