The environment in which a person is raised clearly sets the outlines as to how that individual grows up. Some other reasons that outlines a person are the person’s family, their home, their neighborhood, and community. I’ll be explaining all of these subjects and explaining how they shaped me as a person today. Growing up in a safe environment ensures a person to grow up with knowledge and comprehension of the world around them by taking away the dangers of, in blatant terms, survival. I was one of those lucky kids who had a cushy, spoon fed life growing up and that entitled me to learn and explore everything I possible could. I learned from my parents the …show more content…
I’ve lived at my house all my life and I don’t know any other home like it. Here I lived through many good and bad times. My parents would host little get-togethers from time to time, with friends and family, and we would also cook out and overall have a good time and enjoy ourselves to the fullest. My neighborhood shaped me by teaching me to stand up for myself when no one would. I played rough sports with the neighborhood kids and in that I learned not to be a crybaby and instead walk most of my injuries off. I learned early on that some kids could be so cruel in the way they spoke, but then I learned later that it was the way they grew up that influenced them to be like that. Us kids learn mostly everything from grown-ups and when a kid talks very vulgar it just reflects what they learned from their mentors. I wasn’t raised like that but I learned from other kids. My community has been one of flourishment and success. Laredo has seen a spike in growth in the last couple of years, with the addition of Altitude and the mini golf course, Laredo seems to be doing things right. Even though people say it’s boring and there’s nothing to do, they

it is debatable that the place where a person grew up has influenced on his accomplishment. As far as I am concerned, the place where one is raised has a influence on one's accomplishments and it plays vital role to form his personality. In this essay I will assert both sides of the contention before deducing a reasonable conclusion. Firslty, it is evident that the people learn a lot from the place they grew up, back in 19th century Britain was full of greatest scientist world has ever seen, they were all influenced by one and another, it was just because of the atmosphere provided by the place where they were brought up. secondly, united states which is known as the land of opportunities.…

I was ten years ago and I can still vividly remember sitting on an old, wooden rocking chair while the words of The Very Hungry Caterpillar trembled off my lips to a room full of second graders. I can recall the eagerness and excitement that filled their little faces as I flipped from page to page. There was an abundance of curiosity and desire to learn in that classroom that made me happy that I decided on skipping recess to read to the younger students. There was a fire that lit in my ten-year-old body that day. That was the day where I finally had an answer to all the “What do you want to be when you grow up?”…

Growing up in a family that did not communicate that much, I was not very close with my mother of father. My mom and I did tend to talk more but not about personal things in our life. Me and my dad however always fought. I have a few good memories with him (he loved teaching me how to make home made biscuits.) which I always enjoyed on those rare occasions he was in a good mood. But, 90% of the time we were fighting.…

I was working, driving, and taking more difficult classes to prepare for college. The more responsibilities I accepted, the more I was treated like an adult. It was not until two months later that I realized I was changing.…

I believe that a majority of my generation engaged in ‘quiet or secret’ delinquency – it was not brazened and just out in the open as you see now. And, it was NEVER the type of trouble that involved the law! Quite frankly, my daddy would have beat me to within an inch of my life if I had embarrassed him in that way! Raising my own children – eleven years between oldest and youngest – I experienced a considerable difference in the attitudes of ‘children’.…

My life started off a few months earlier than it should have. That was a very early obstacle that I don’t even remember. It is speculated that being a premature baby might have caused any of the early childhood obstacles that I encountered. As far as I remember, the first few years of my life were fine. In kindergarten, according to my dad, I was very talkative and liked to help kids with “subjects that I excelled in, such as spelling”.…
