I am Cadet Major Destiny Key, I am currently West High’s AK-033 Group Commander; the highest position earned in Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps. I had to overcome a multitude of challenges and other positions before earning this title. It had a great impact in my academic life, being Group Commander has opened doors that I did’t think were possible. I had so many opportunities in the three months I have been in this position. I have the opportunity to create goals to better the corps, school, and community as well as have the opportunity to lead 135 cadets also known as my peers.
