And I knew I wanted his name to also be on it as well. So on the the longer side of box I sculpted a face portrait of Bronx. Then on the opposite long side I sculpted out letters to spell Bronx, in a cool font. The background on the side his face was on was a royal blue because that was the color of the ribbon he wore as a puppy. The other side was black with a carved out skull right above his name, because when we got Bronx, hhe grew fast and we needed a real collar for him, so we got a black one with white skulls. So that’s where the little white skull design came from. On that same side with his name, the name was the royal blue color, the same as the ribbon. A lot of my memory box has to do with mini reminders of my dog on it. Like how we identified him when he was born, and what his first collar looked like. And how could you have a dog memory box without your dog’s face on it? The lid of the box was flat and has a dog treat bone as the part you grab to pick the lid up. I chose this as the handle because I was thinking about using this memory box to hold his dog treats in. the box was really fun to make and sculpt because it reminded me of the time we brought Bronx home for the first time. I love that memory because all I can remember was when he came out the luggage shoot and we brought him outside and let him out the cage and he just jumped around wagging his tail all excited.
