My breaths echo under my helmet as I race towards the end zone. A flash of skin appears in my peripheral vision, and I roughly jump over the body that nearly took me down. With the last of my strength, I sprint until I cross the end zone. Catching my breath, I’m hit from behind as my team chants my name. It’s only then that I hear the crowd roar, and I bask in the glory. But behind all the cheers, I hear the wolf-whistles and catcalls. The laughing and the jeering. I hang my head down at the ridiculous, skimpy pieces of clothing they call a uniform. Maybe some people are here for the sport, but the mass majority of males were here for one thing: ogling half-naked women wrestle with one another.
