The sky was thickened with smog blocking out the sun which gives the sky a orangish gray look. The streets polluted with random junk and homeless people who blend into their surroundings. The cars drive over head as I walk under the highway towards the skatepark, oil drips from above. I look for my friends to tell them the news. They probably won’t have any feeling for what I say since nobody gives a shit about anything, not even themselves. I find them by the skatepark which wasn’t surprising they were always there when skipping school. They are not going to graduate on time and some of them already dropped out. I arrived at the group and tolled them my great news which was I was accepted to this well known college with a full ride scholarship.
