Personal Narrative: From Homeless To Harvard

Homeless to Harvard really gave me a life check about myself and how the things you do and say really have a big impact on other peoples lives. I usually can't watch movies about abusive parents but this one showed me why some kids with behavior problemsstill have behavior issues and can't figure out why they keep going to jail. When I have a child I will handle situations with love and understanding so that my son or daughter are feel protected in this crazy world where you have to have a sense of toughness. I saw this woman abuse thiis poor girl but give her the mental stability she needed to keep pushing through. The daughter taught me to make use of what I have. I grew up in a similar situation only my mother hates drugs and would never do them. The time I grew up in was just the age b4 all the children got spoiled and didn't know how respect elders for who they are . I learned thee hard way and was even kicked out of my house at the age of 16. After I was locked out I came to my senses of what it wouuld actually feel like to really be on my own. I like reading stories and watching film that has tp do with making it through adversity. The daughter in the story beat odds similar to mine and surpased her life goals before she coulld even thinkof them all. My english teacher Mr.Arnold similar to my college english proffesor now believed in me from the start and now I finally believe in myself. Iv'e always been pretty religious so having faith in God kept me humble and I never have to flash my hand of cards.
