Frisky at the Fair Having known her for well over six years, I thought finally going on a date would be easy. I had a fresh taper fade that felt as if my lineup could cut through steel and a fade as smooth as ocean waves gliding on the shore. After countless minutes scrubbing the soles of my shoes till my fingertips begin to prune, finally the crisp frozen whiteness returned. Having pondered every possibly outfit in my closet and countless wardrobe changes, deciding to keep it simple seemed like the best decision. I sat along my bed restlessly wondering how to approach her, this should have been easy. We had known each other since the sixth grade, but yet my stomach quivered with the feeling of butterflies. As the clock struck eleven the …show more content…
My mind still reeling for the lustful escapade, I had to continue the social progress of the night. I decided that my best option was to sway away from casual chatter or small talk. The last thing I needed at this moment, especially on our first actual date was to initiate meaningless chatter. While in line for the Ferris wheel, we began to banter about the past. Recounting the tale of how we first meet, and how we were mortal enemies on the battlefield of English class. While in mid- conversation I felt something graze the seams of my pants. I took a gander down to see her rump nestled up to me. Letting my natural lust take over, I wrapped my arms around her, holding tight like a child with its blanket. After a while I became enveloped in her body, our heartbeats began to synchronize. Then all was interrupted by the scampering of adolescent children down and away from the Ferris wheel. The line trudged along, hip-hop thumping steadily in the background, beginning to sway her hips energetically. I had never felt so naturally in tune with anyone like …show more content…
A clothing booth caught our attention; creative couple design spatially lined the walls. We were specifically looking at our combine favorite recent animated film, Despicable Me. The blouses were adorned with female and a male minion, both pointing to each other portrayed to be saying, “He is my minion, she is my minion”. The little did I know buying those shirts would be a cornerstone of our whole relationship. While she decided with her favorite and I feel the most common girl color, pink. I chose the color of I like the best and the color of my favorite college team, crimson. Something that started out as a simple corny gift, ended up being something I will always

Think about the typical 80's "coming of age" movie set in high school. It opens by introducing the audience to the main character, usually not the most handsome, most popular or athletic teenager. He sees the most beautiful girl in the school and wishes he could be with her. Long story short, he gets the girl, loses the girl and some friends, gets friends back after much ridicule, and rides into the sunset with the girl. Well that’s how my story goes… sort of.…

This inability isn’t surprising. Matt had been born and bred in apathy and continued the tradition. He was from a highway town that stayed alive on fast food joints and motels for motorists passing through to get to places more interesting. These towns cling to life on the interstate and they bloom and wilt on the whim of the Federal Highway Commission. In the cars zooming by, his hometown invoked a Midwestern nostalgia of simpler times and better people but on any closer examination these little towns are mostly welfare checks and crumbling brick.…

Alternative: No one talk about what happened at the party. Stakeholder: Ourselves. If we go forward with no one saying anything about what happened at the party, the only values and principles we would be upholding is our loyalty to Simon. Friday Mornings I rushed my full stomach to my room and I pulled out the bottom of my semi formal clothings and pants drawer. Being the control freak that I am, I also picked out my brother’s outfit. My mother was kind enough to let me select my own outfit to school as a second grader. Enrolled in a small, private, and conservative Christian school, where the moms are very in everyone’s business; not many of my friends were allowed to pick out their “free friday” outfits. Although now, I wish my mother would restrict some of the things I wore.…

I have been fed love since before I was mature enough to know better,
Before my body had curves and before my words
Had complexity
Dips and gaps and awkward pauses,
Before all of that, when I used to kiss my pillow and pray,
Oh, please, won’t someone someday adore me?
Then my chest budded like tulips during the spring,
I scribbled the sentences within romance films all on my wrists,
I turned my head at just the right degree,
Grinned in the right lighting.
But my world came crashing down,
lt was a tragedy without all of the drama-
 That tragedy was me.…

It was a hot and humid night in Livingston Parish, Louisiana in the middle of October. My dad, mom, brother, and I were inching our way down the road towards the fairgrounds. The traffic was backed up for at least two miles and my brother and I were restless. At just 9 and 12 we had visions of hot dogs and funnel cakes swimming through our minds, making us ask consistently when we will be there. At almost nine o’clock we finally pull up onto the makeshift dirt driveway heading into the massive parking lot, which was really only a field.…
