Each year, our goal was to win conference and make it to state. Those goals were very high goals for us, but we knew it was possible if we all worked hard together. My first three years, we didn’t make either goal. By my fourth year, all the seniors decided it was our year to make our dreams come true. We ended up qualifying for state, and it was one of the most exciting moments of my life. It was a dream that we all have had for so many years, and it felt so good to finally make it. In student council, we help organize and prepare for school events. Over the years, I’ve especially enjoyed decorating for dances and preparing for Battle of the Classes. Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a club that meets once a week for breakfast and devotions. I really enjoy meeting with my peers and growing our relationship with God together. We also do volunteer work in this club, such as, sending care packages to college students, writing Christmas cards for people in Iraq and visiting the nursing home periodically. In Interact, we do at least one volunteer activity a month. A few events I’ve recently helped with are, visiting the humane society, playing bingo at the nursing home, volunteering at the theatre in town, a rake and run and baking for a bake sale to raise money for a well in Uganda. I enjoy being in this club because it helps pull me closer to my peers, teachers and community. In addition to all my school activities, I have a part-time job as a teller at Titonka Savings Bank.
