The sky is dark, damp, and warm, the slight red undertones are glowing through the clouds. I never expected something like this to happen in my short lifetime, Mauna Loa was erupting for the first time in twenty-five years. I watched as the ash rained down on the roofs of nearby houses, coating the entire town in what could have been perceived as warm, black snow. I felt my heart rise into my throat, causing me to choke out a dry sob. I was twenty-one, I finally had a house, and now I was going to die in this massive storm of lava and rubble.…

It was dark but not pitch black, there was sunlight peeking through the window, which was covered with wood that you can tell the person who placed it there was too short to reach the top part of the window. The sun had spotlighted the door as though it was destiny calling. I didn't know where I was or how I got there which drove my nerves crazy. My mouth was covered with what seemed to be 100 layers of duct tape which left my mouth tingling with the unpleasant taste. Both my hands were tied together with rope very securely behind an old wooden chair, my blood in both my hands felt as though it was trapped which caused me to feel the sensation of fireworks in them.…

When I was young, my sister and I never got along well. Neither of us were afraid to voice our thoughts, but we had opposite personalities, so that was an enormous complication. She would constantly whine whenever I practice the violin or piano that I was too loud and it was drowning out the music she was listening to. In return, I would always retort that her music was too loud and distracting. Well, I never actually called it “her music”: I referred to it as “garbage”.…

Disbelieve and fear shook my mind as I lie on my back, sitting on top of concrete sandwiched in between the hot metal hood of a car, as the weight pressed down against me it didn’t hurt, my body was too numb to feel anything. All I could feel was a car pushing me further into the ground pushing my lungs down and shutting air out of it. It felt too surreal I kept blinking as if I thought I’d wake up from this mess. I could see sirens and people gathering around me watching in disbelieve, I kept fading in and out of conscience I felt like I was close to death.…

Revenge for the Devil I never thought I’d be running through hell with only one arm; fleeing the demons that get off on torturing the souls of the damned. Let’s clear one thing up, they don’t carry around little pitchforks. They prefer tools that can cause more damage, like a hatchet or a sharp blade or two. As I run madly, I get a whiff of the oceans filled with vomit, bile, and the blood leaked out of the tortured.…

Hell is a place for sinners whose souls suffer after death for the poor choices they commit in the world. It is a spiritual realm often referred to as the inferno for the evil suffering of the souls. Some people believe their sins are not significant enough to allow them to descend to hell. Some even believe that no sin is greater than the next and that all sin is equal. I believe certain sins are greater than others, and in my hell I will have child pornographers, dog fighters, domestic abusers, terrorists, racists, womanizers and identity thieves suffering.…
