The ones who do not are faded and look like they come out of books, the rest had names over their head. I saw that after my mother walk into the world next to me.
“Isn't it beautiful, Earth is so much more pretty though. So this is the first step, now you have to think about what you want to learn. My thing is reading minds. And your mother’s was that she could do almost anything but become invisible to more than one person.” My mother had a really sad voice when she ever talked about my biological mother. “I think that you should learn to find out how to read minds in

The site that I visited was Mercy Hill Church in Greensboro, NC. I went to a sermon, with some friends, that took place on a Sunday night. When we arrived at the church, we stayed together and observed the site. The members of this church all seemed to be within their twenties and thirties; there were a few younger children and a few older women and men, but not many. Most of these people seemed to be from Christian ethnic backgrounds or just unaffiliated with any ethnicity.…

“Our enemies have made the mistake that America’s enemies always make. They saw liberty and thought they saw weakness. And now, they see defeat.” George W. Bush stated this about the cowardly September 11th attacks. During that fateful day I was glued to my poorly constructed high school chair, gazing in disbelief what was unfolding on Mr. Cox’s History class television.…

When I was in the 10th grade, my high school had begun to do something called Spirit Week. Now, if you do not know what spirit week is this is when you have a different activity for each day of the week, for example on Monday it may be cartoon day and you get to dress as your favorite character. Well, on this day it was “Throwback Thursday” and my friends and I decided that we were going to dress up as TLC. So, that day we talked about everything that we had planned to wear and we decide that we wanted to wear bandanas.…

Having a paranormal experience can be bloodcurdling, but it can also be a phenomenal experience to look back on. When I was about thirteen years old, I had my first experience with a Ouija board. A Ouija board is used to communicate with people that are no longer among the living. I was with my uncle Elvis, who is my mother’s brother. My uncle took me to his friend’s apartment, and at that moment he pulled out what appeared to be a very ancient Ouija board.…

In today's society the average person goes through high school, then repeats the cycle through college, gets their degree and goes out into the “real world”. They meet someone, have a family and move out to the suburbs. That is the path that most americans take throughout their long journey in life. Contradictory to that some of the wealthiest people took the risk of taking their own path and profited very well from it. “Have the courage to follow your own heart and intuition” (Steve Jobs).…

My worldview closely resembles the Biblical Worldview described in the Charry text, but by no means is anywhere near where it could be. My Christian character will continue to develop and mature throughout my life as I continue to study the scriptures, commune with God in prayer, continually ask for repentance, and forgiving those who have showed transgressions toward me. L. Gregory Jones states, “Christian living requires a willingness to inquire after the God of Jesus Christ, an inquiry which shapes us a people of repentance and forgiveness” (Charry, 2000, p. 204). Repentance and forgiveness are two aspects of the Christian walk that I struggle with. There are many times that I get so busy with life that I forget to prayerfully repent…

Eyes of a Witness Have you ever asked yourself what you want to do with your life, and have you ever asked yourself what your purpose is in life? Also, have you ever asked yourself what path you should take in your life, and have you ever asked yourself where your journey should begin and end? And finally, have you ever asked yourself who God is and where God is? I have pondered these questions many times over and over again, and yet I have not been able to answer these questions. Nevertheless, I believe in my God, and I believe God has a greater purpose for me in my life.…

On August 26, 2005, I gave my life to Christ, and it was the start of a whole new chapter of my journey. I still remember that night vividly in my head. The feelings of excitement, joy, and love were very tangible in my heart. My mom and dad were both sitting beside me on my bed while I was told the importance of this decision and how my life would never be the same. Even at 5 years old, I was aware of my decision to follow Jesus and accept him into my heart.…

I progressively began to hear my inner-spirit guiding me from inside. This definitely blew my mind, but it was also absolutely exhilarating at the same time. To know that I could indeed receive instruction from inside-out, by-way of the inner-spirit, truly opened my eyes. This was confirmation that in actuality we’re never alone, provided that, we recognized and listened to our inner-spirit. Therefore, allowing us to hear our Creator managing everything from inside-out at the hands of the inner-spirit.…
