First Time Attending a Football Game
Watching a professional football game is a different experience. The other day I witnessed a football match between the Cleveland Browns and the Oakland Raiders. The stadium was roaring with tons of spectators awaiting to see the match. The stands were packed to capacity by spectators who included fans from both teams, mostly Brown fans though. A lot of enthusiasm among the vast majority of football fans, especially because both these teams are known for exuberant fans. I barely could sleep. Just sitting in my bed waiting for my alarm to go off. Well that time finally came, quite early too. Since we did have to drive all the way to Cleveland to watch it. I just sat waiting at my house all dressed in Browns clothing waiting for my friends to arrive. Of course they were late. I do not think they are ever on time though. Well we all gathered into the car and way we went. Our road trip was an experience in itself too. We of course had

The kicker puts the football in the holder and the game begins. You feel such emotion when it all gets quiet before the kick and then the stadium erupts as the ball goes flying down the field to the receiver just waiting for his moment to shine. I was very enthusiastic at the game for example if I thought the referees made a bad call I would jump up and yell “BOOOOO” along with everyone else in the crowd. If something good happened I would jump up and scream “Go, go, go!” Which, at home I would do the exact same thing. It seems the longer the game went, the more I opened up and just let

Every person in the stadium stands, places their hand over their hearts and watches in awe as Carrie Underwood sings. Her blonde hair glimmers, her tan skin glows, and her teeth shine in the spot light. Her outfit is perfectly made, being the envy of every girl in the stadium. You can hear her voice full of pride as she finishes with, “O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave”, holding the last note as long as possible. In celebration you see two bulky men in Patriot jerseys clink beer cans, already drunk.…

Standing there on the street, I stood staring up to a hundred giant football players walking by me. As I held the rope that the football players walked through, I stretched out my hand to try and high five as many of them as I could. One… two…three…twenty-seven…twenty-eight…twenty-nine! Each one of them pranced by while the drum line marched them on to the beat of the fight song. Standing there looking up at the enormous football players, I avidly wondered what it would be like to walk through this crowd to go play at Highlander Stadium.…

From what I can remember, football has become a Sunday ritual in my family since I was a kid. Growing up in the North East, we lived a couple hours from Shea Stadium in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, Queens, New York. Being the playing ground for the New York Jets 1964 to 1983, now the New York Jets play at MetLife Stadium, in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Living so closed to the stadium and having family members like my Dad, Uncles, and Grandfather take the train or a boat over to watch Joe Namath play was an experience I wish I could have been a part of. Football has become so popular in America, that they have a day dedicated to watching your favorite team play their hardest vs one of the other thirty-one teams in the league.…
