Personal Narrative: Fighting To Live

Fighting To Live In the 1940’s a man named Adolph Hitler sent to wipe out all jews. In every town ,city ,state. Sending to kill every jew there is. Meanwhile in Warsaw, Europe people we fighting back, called the Partisans. Although 6 million of jews were wiped away, young people named Ben Kamm and Kailyn Banda were survivors who share their historical story of this horrible event. As we were walking down the street a large truck comes by with many nazis. Ben and I started walking faster towards home hoping they didn’t see us. People were crying, some starving, some even dead. As we were in there for two days already many people would compliment Ben’s eyes and how we both had blond hair and blue eyes. After a week i knew our families would starve in here so Ben and I came up with an idea. One that involves our looks also as to risking ourselves. Since Ben and I blended with others because of our blue eyes and blond hair. After a few weeks of planning, it all turned out perfectly fine. We would sneak in and out of the ghetto. No one caught us nor suspected us. We would sneak out for food and sneak back in with food to give to our families. Ben even had an from the outside that would help us as well. After a few weeks of sneaking in and out of the ghetto Ben started to think of another idea. An idea that would risk us both. Ben had talked about joining the Partisans. I really didn’t want to join and risk us both but he really wanted to do this for the people. I eventually went along with it.
