Personal Narrative: Fighting Level 22 Aliens

Improved Essays
I play on nightmare. I've a level 30 captain fighting level 22 aliens. Shredding fire with max strength and gunnery can miss on a unlucky roll, and hunters have 162 hp so it's not easy to get a one shot kill without critical. Plasma rifle isn't useless, but it's a little too risky to equip in my game.

I normally max out useful talents as much I can. Most favorite talents are listed first to least favorite talent last on the list.

Right now, I'm in the mood to rush maps for XP so low heat or healing is wanted.

I always collect as many powerful buffs as I can by spreading them around different squad mates. This is good for both rushing and commander's deployment ordnance.

Tank captain (L30)
Slash (L10), warrior's wrath (L10), bladeweave (L3).

Honing fire self buff is nice, but again, I don't want the heat.

I see the captain's pistol as a shorter range, and less precise version of the sniper rifle with limited crowd damage. The captain's pistol is also a stronger version of the engineer's pistol in my mind. Pistol is not useless, but hard to bring out in my specialized squad. It just can't compete with burst fire, suppression fire, cripple fire, hydra AoE attacks, and etc.

Team buffer soldier (L30)
Rallying charge (L10), Burst fire (L10), Overwatch

It also provided a detailed description of what having those strengths mean and examples of how they are prominent in a person 's life. After taking the StrengthsFinder survey, I discovered that my five dominant strengths are empathy, harmony, consistency, relator, and restorative.…

He unleashed a flurry of japs and punches in his rage. To my surprise, every individual hit was strong and hurt upon impact. I defended as many of the punches as I possibly could, but even the ones I could block gradually hurt me. During that time, I couldn't land a single hit, for I was essentially focusing on defending myself and making any openings would have not been ideal. I could’ve continued to keep up with his punches, except while I was avoiding one of his attacks, I lost my footing, curled my head forward to protect it, and landed on the floor with my back first, which was what we were taught.…

Protection or Intoxication In the essay, “A peaceful Woman Explains Why She Carries a Gun” by Linda M. Hasselstrom in the anthology, ‘Pattern for College Writing: A Rhetorical Reader and Guide, the author support the idea of carrying a gun as a safety measure. Hasselstrom shows how it is unsafe being a lady and roaming around thousands of miles on deserted roads, and abused by men while camping with a friend. Hasselstrom felt insecure whenever she was faced by a misbehaving adult or when she found out signs of trespassers in her house and could not do anything about it.…

In his discussion of Alien abduction narratives (AANs), Scott Scribner’s chapter section titled “Alien Abduction Narratives and Religious Contexts,” proposes that there are many religious aspects and common similarities between uncanny AANs and epistemological religious narratives (Tanminia, 2007). Scribner introduces the history of AANs and makes a clear-cut distinction between stories claiming abduction or ‘contact’, an important point, the author emphasizes. Moreover, Scribner analyzes the religious parallels and paradigms of Alien abduction narratives and reviews the context of the storytellers or ‘tellers’ of these narratives. Scribner describes that he does all this in an effort to understand how these AANs contribute to new found…
