Darkness, all I could see was a black hole of twilight devouring what was left of the rim of light far beneath the cage. An ice cold breeze threw me upward. My heart was pounding; I could feel my heart leaving my rib cage, faster, and faster. The chains attached to the cage rattled as the vibrations flustered my thoughts. I was rising, the light below had disappeared. The upward motion sent my stomach across the cage. I started crawling to my stomach, reaching for food and water like a beast to settle my ravenousness. At that moment, the cage halted. My eyes trembled trying to make sense of where I was, but darkness had engulfed me. My hopes were starting to disappear until a familiar scent touched my nose: an essence of sweet morning grass, …show more content…
Thats most of what I could remember. My hair parted to the right as the soft wind blew by. He led me to the edge and was pulled up my another young man about my age. He had Brown hair and Teal eyes. As I was pulled up I looked in his eyes, only noticing he was as tall as me.
“I’m edward, Nice to meet ya newbie,” He spouted. “If there is one thing you need to know about me it’s that, I have no time to waste and little patience to deal with your problems. So stay out of my way and no more stupid questions.” He walked away in a hurry over to what looked like a house. The trees surrounding were tall about three times my size. There were wall reaching skyscraping heights. They were a dirty moss brown with large holes, the ground was uneven and dirty almost like it had just been resurfaced.
“...Kyle…” I smelled fresh air seeping into my lungs that were originally corroded with the musty cage stench. A voice came from behind me. “Come with me, it’s time.”
“For what exactly?” I exclaimed.
“You’ll find out soon enough.” He headed off as I followed closely behind. He had a white tee-shirt on with a large rip cut right through his back. I could see a scar bloody and brown like a giant scab.
“So what happened back here?” I asked.
“What?”
“The Scar, Where did you get that?” I pushed for an answer. He cocked his head to the side and turned
