"Okay, first, you can cut them into little pieces, and when your done bring it up to my healing quarters please?" I ask.

"Your healing quarters, what happened?" He asks, sounding censured.

"You'll see when you get here" I reply in a smirk.

"Okay, I will, oh Sophie, what would you like to drink?" He asks me.

I have to think about it for a moment before I answer, "Give me a Pepsi, please" I ask politely.

"Sure thing, see you soon" He says as he disconnects the mind link. In that same second, Shelby walks in with a new pear of clothes. I turn away from her, because I don't want to see those clothes until Luka comes out in them,

My Aunt puts him down and Luka starts to run towards me, but then he stops mid stride, and turns towards the doo. both our noses start going a mile a minute and my mouth starts to water, because he's smelling the same thing that I'm smelling, steak.

Then there's three firm knocks at the door, Luka gasps, and hides behind me. Shelby walks over to the door, and in walks Greg balancing one tray on his right hand and two trays on his left, Shelby looks back at me. "Alpha, did you order room scurvies?" She asks in a chuckle/

Greg's eyes go wide, "But please don't submit to him, I don't think he's ready for that yet" I say, Greg clears his throat before speaking,

"Do you think he's going to eat all that by himself?" He asks.

"Ya, I mean for the former Omega, I would say that's a pretty good start" I say as quietly as I can, the word 'Omega stings as it passes my tongue.

"No way, he was the..." He trails off, I think he wanted to say more, but the look I just gave him said that enough is enough. "Hope you enjoy your meal" He says, as I turns to start walking out of the room.

"Hold on a second" I say, Greg snaps back instantly. I reach into my pocket, pull out a 50, and hand it to him. He looks up at me, "Go Home Greg" I say to him, he nods before walking out of the room.

My Aunt and Shelby both walk past me on their way to the door. "We're going to let you guys have a nice dinner, we'll be down stairs if you need anything" My Aunt says, as she and Shelby are walking out the door.

once the doors closed I sit down cross legged on the floor, with the tray of steak out in front of me. "Luka, time to eat" I say as I motion him to come over

The setting is a small corner in the TMC with room for maybe half a dozen people to stand comfortably in a line. One side consists of a silver machine that dispenses different sodas when you poke the correct sequence on the screen; a shelf with brightly colored packages with labels like “Sun Chips;” and a large, self-contained, shelving unit with containers of varying size full of sandwiches and salads that projects cold air into the area. Opposite this wall is a counter at average waist height with two cash registers and a glass display box with various bars and cookies. At 4:30 on a weeknight, the area is sparsely populated.…

“So he can talk after all.” (page 120) is what the nurse said the moment Dally and I came in, after having Johnny slightly opening his eyes and faintly saying, “Hey guys.” I was so happy to see that despite Johnny’s body dying and falling apart, his soul was complete and full of the Johnny I always knew and loved. I quietly moved to the side and whispered to the nurse, “How’s he doing?”…

Henry Dunkin was an ordinary 13 year old boy who was tall with dark brown hair and blue eyes. He was very liked by the citizens in the town so you wouldn’t expect anyone to harm him, right? Two weeks ago on a Tuesday, this was a day like any other, the sun was shining and there was a chilly breeze just off the east coast. In the bakery up town, Henry was getting breakfast before school just like he always does.…

She stated, “My parents are having dinner in the dining hall, so that way isn 't possible, but there is at the end of the corridor a back way, it leads through the sewers, and we will get out at Denna 's Diner.” Leonard looked at her and responded, “I don 't see a princess dressed the way you are dressed going very far in the sewers, don 't you think your gown will get in the way and ruined?” Annette looked at him then asked, "What do you suggest, that 's the only way I see us getting out without getting chaos started."…

ONE DAY, WHILST changing into a fresh tunic after a tiring day of practice races, Rubio was summoned to the Domus Aurelia by Aurelius Falco. He’d been called the into the tablinum for a special meeting, a meeting, in all probability, designed to detail him on the upcoming Ludi Plebeii, Rubio thought to himself as he made his way out his concrete cubicle on his way to the villa. Within a few lanky strides he made it to the steps of the terrace and then to Falco’s private office, where he was greeted by old Ptah, and who duly ushered him in at the Dominus’ imperative behest. “Have a seat, lad,” Falco said, gesturing to a comfortable chair. “Would you like some wine?”…

I take a step outside, and I feel a blast of chilly Fall air as it breezes leaves through the wind. I love the Fall outdoors. Once I go outside I escape everything: My older sister, my noisome and demanding dog, and my small mountain of math homework left unfinished. The smell of Autumn invades my nostrils, and it reminds of the time before pre-Algebra, when I had so much free time. Free time to be spent on complaining about how much that I needed, just needed, a new bicycle.…

I’m nearly late to my lab that day. I rush up the stairs of the old brick building, laughs and conversations of the luckier students who had just gotten out of class echoing through the halls. My feet pound against the dingy linoleum, almost loud enough to drown them all out. I step into the lab room, exhale in one long woosh, and let my shoulder’s drop – the professor isn’t there yet. But the TAs are.…
