You could only see half her face; her light brown hair covered the other half. She sat there crying from dawn to dusk. The busy world going throughout their day while only glimpsing her. She had an aura about her that made her invisible to most, maybe it was the way she dressed. No one knew why though, those of us who noticed her, but everyone knew she would be there the same day, every year. Everyone tried to comfort her or help and she never responded to them. The crimson sky would finally burn out and birth darkness, then and only then would she get up and stop crying. No one knew who she was, only that they could count on her arrival the next year.

I never forgot her though. Each year, from dawn to dusk, I would sit there and just watch her. Something about her caught the entirety of my attention. It was quite perplexing at first, but I grew fond of it after several years. The feeling that I got when I watched her, when I pondered her, when I tried to wrap my mind around what it was about her was unforgettable. MY mind would turn over and over again, because….. I knew her! But I didn't know how I knew her.

Everyday I would go to work. Do the same thing again and again. I'd go home, sleep, wake up, and repeat. Newport was a bustling city though.
