Pretending that nothing had happened with Chris had slowly gotten easier over the past few months. The two girls definitely weren't as close as they had been before; plus, now Caitlyn had days where she was just mopey and would lock herself up in her room...thankfully those times were indistinguishable from the days that she just wanted to game for hours. But it was better than it had been when Chris had said she was going to leave....as uncomfortable as their situation could sometimes be, she didn't want her big sister gone from her life, Caitlyn missed her far too much when she wasn't around. "Yeah. She's got a really nice voice, I didn't know that she could sing." Caitlyn smiled a bit, eager for the school musical and happy to make small talk about it. A shy girl, she loved being able to dress up and pretend to be someone else, someone a little more brave; or, she supposed in Red Riding Hood's case, blissfully unaware of the danger.

Stop! I can't take you seriously when you do that." Caitlyn had erupted into a fit of giggles in the middle of her and Alex's rehearsal. Things had been going great at first, Alex was really patient and offered her lots of good advice on how to improve. But as they progressed through the script, Alex had taken it upon herself to play the Big Bad Wolf and exploded into her own rendition of 'Hello Little Girl'. It was easier to not laugh during the scene when Tim Reynolds had sang it to her during rehearsal at school; the boy was tall and had a scraggly beard that made him look a bit more feral. Alex though had decided to sing two octaves lower and had been so over the top in her prowling that Caitlyn couldn't do anything but laugh at

When I’m on the hallway she starts to sing a really hard song but she completely hits every note so well and I turned around and run to my room to check if that’s her and she was, and all the judges turned their chairs which I wasn’t expecting. In this situation I judged the girl’s ability to sing just because of how she was so nervous about it and she was little. This is like Loretta Lee, Iggy Lee, Max and Killer Kane from ‘’Freak the Mighty’’ by Rodman Philbrick that at first they are different but throughout…

In fifth grade I had this teacher named Ms. Gonzalez, who was really into theater, and she was always telling us about her plays. She was full of character, full of creativity, and so much fun to be around! Her and I easily connected in that year, and a few other students had no problem softening up to her as well, but it seemed only a selected few really got to her. When the recess bell rang, Ms. Gonzalez had told me and two other girls to stay after class, and of course I didn’t move from my seat as the kids filed out. I waited patiently as she checked for the two other girls, one of my best friends named Ali and another friend named Alizza.…

Shawn, a 16 year old juvenile, stabbed his father with a kitchen knife, inflicting wounds to his face, neck and arms. Shawn’s mother vividly describes waking up to the blood covered body of her husband, the brownish specks of dried blood scattered over the sheets. Two of Broadway’s most talented voices emerged from the hit musical, “Wicked.” Idina Menzel and Kristen Chenoweth both had been in broadway shows long before but wicked was the one that blew them into stardom. The musical displays numerous singing acts that tell the story of a girl who grew up slightly different from the rest and a stereotypical popular girl that tried to help her gain her confidence. Idina and Kristen’s voices are like no other in the musical because their voices bring our qualities in their character that complement the character so well. The dark alto tones of Idina plays off of the envy and awkwardness her character constantly lives with.…

I came to never resent the rehearsals, though you would never know; it was just too much fun not to complain about…
