My heart felt like it was about to shoot out of my chest. My legs were shaking with exhaustion and my whole body was soaked with sweat, my hair felt sticky against my neck. We were all huddled into a small supply closet near the restrooms, our breath coming out labored from running for so long. All of the sudden we could hear the sound of footsteps coming closer to our hiding spot. I lifted my finger to my lips to signal to them to be quiet. Suddenly there was the sound of someone pounding on the door from the outside. We all were frozen in place, it felt as though time had stopped. After what could have only been a few minutes, but felt like hours, the pounding on the door stopped and we finally heard the footsteps begin to recede, we were …show more content…
"I don't know but I'm leaving," Peyton said reaching for the door handle. I quickly reached my hand out and pulled her away from the door, which was hard to do considering the size of the closet.
"What are you doing I wanna go home. This isn't fun anymore," she said raising her voice. I wanted to leave too but we were already 7 hours in and it was to dangerous to try and leave now that that thing knew we were here.
"It's too dangerous, besides you heard the radio earlier, the whole city is on lockdown and nobody is supposed to be outside," I said to the group. We had been hiding in the bathroom earlier while we waiting for everyone to leave the mall so we could start the challenge. We were supposed to stay here overnight for twenty-four hours, without getting caught and record it all so we could post it online. We had been in the bathroom earlier waiting for everyone to leave when a high-pitched wailing sound from our radio filled our ears. We had all sat up and moved closer to the radio so we could hear what was being said. "Attention citizens of West field, there has been an outbreak of an unknown virus and the city is going on lock down. Please stay inside and lock all doors, do not go outside for any reason and please remain calm. We are doing everything we can to control the situation," then it ended with the same piercing tone it had begun with. None of the radio stations

I started pumping my legs faster and as I got closer to him I stuck out my foot and tripped him. He fell down and rolled forward before landing only a few feet from the finish line. I turned around after passing the finish line to rub it in Nolan's face that I beat him.
"You cheated," he yelled at me as he got up from the floor. Peyton walked over towards us and was trying not to laugh at Nolan.
"Technically I didn't cheat though because we never said there was any rules," I told him, as i tried to get my breathing to even out. I walked over to my camera and picked it up from the floor so I could watch my epic victory.
"I would have won if you hadn't tripped me," he said walking over towards me. I was watching the footage and was laughing when I saw the look on Nolan's face as he fell.
"This is definitely going into the video and I'm gonna put in slow motion," I said to him as I closed up the camera and put it back into my bag so that he couldn't delete it. We continued our walk to the toy store and Nolan was more of dragging his feet and mumbling about how he should have won.
Finally we made it to the toy store. We were walking down the aisles when Nolan picked up a foam sword from a bin. He turned around and began swinging it around like he was a samurai. He pointed the sword at

Buzz, Buzz The cool, crisp wind nipped at my bare arms. The radiant sun glimmered on the damp, mushy grass, as my bright, blue, tennis shoes thumped across to the basketball court. The raucous sound coming from the rough asphalt court, with the slim white backboard, the chipped orange rim, and the half tore net, greeted me with the cheer’s of the crowd, “Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz!”…
