Personal Narrative: Feli's Home

Great Essays
After a few long hours, I am awakened by a slight tap on my hand which is hanging over the small bench. I peek my bright green eyes open and squint from the blazing sun in the distance. I look around and don’t see anything that caused the tapping. I sit up, yawn, and scratch at my feline-like ears. I yawn once more and stretch my stiff human bones. Suddenly, the tapping that awoke me from my sleep repeats, but this time it’s on my leg and it hurts! I jumped up from the old bench and fall on my behind facing it. I look under the bench and see a white figure underneath. I soon discover that this mysterious figure is just my brother, Feliciano. Feli has always been nice and all, but he is kind of annoying and he always get what he wants. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, being adopted into a family early. …show more content…
I’ve had to deal with dogs, wild animals, and worst of all, people. He stares at me for a little bit then he tilts his head. I speak with questioning tone, “Feli?” He perks up at the sound of his nickname and gets a confused look on his face. “Lovino?” He meows. It’s unknown to me how I can still communicate with cats...maybe it’s the ears, but whatever. I smile and pick him up. Surprisingly, he seems light for a pampered pet. I rub my face on him and he returns the favor. He meows, “ What the heck happened, Lovi!? How are you human!? I want to become one, too! How did you become one!?” I try to answer his questions, but his blubbering is covering up my deep, light voice. As soon as he starts to calm down, I begin to explain my incident. He sits and ponders for a bit. We sit quietly for, but then Feli breaks the peaceful silence with his piercing yelp. “I have an idea! I have an idea! I know! I know!”
“Spit it out then!” I yell at him a little too

The crisp breeze rustled my hair as I walked out of my house on the fall September day with my dad drilling instructions into my head. It was my first Little League baseball game ever, and my dad wanted to make sure it wasn’t my last. Being seven years old and never touching a baseball was something that had scared me; a lot. I had no idea what to think about this foreign, petrifying, game could possibly be about. The car ride from my house was only a few minutes away from the fields where I would begin my baseball career.…

I was 13 years old, just starting off high school, when I realized what this dark cloud that’s been floating over me for the past couple of months really is. It wouldn’t be until more than a year later until I seek out professional help. It started off innocently enough as just a feeling of constant emptiness at the pit of my stomach. It slowly turned into randoms bouts of extreme rage, where I’d take out my anger physically, not just on the walls and mirrors of my childhood home and not just on my family, but on myself. I couldn’t understand why I felt this way, why I wasn’t “normal”.…

Her scarred hands twitched imperceptibly as she plucked the glass from his grasp, face as unreadable as the statues in the museum not too far away. It almost felt like a dream -- unreal and untrustworthy, the scene that played out before her. It was not her right, to meet with Roman upon the rooftop, god-like conspirators deciding the fate of the mortals that milled about below them. More and more often she had to remind herself that she had not always been a god, but had once been something unrecognizable and unworthy. Roman had been gifted with his so-called divinity, Rafaella, however, had bled for it.…
