I have been involved in many different community service opportunities. One of my favorite was Farm Fest. Two separate years my school put on a field day event for special needs kids and families all over Wilmington. The event was almost completely run by my fellow high schoolers and me. I also had the opportunity to participate in several special needs basketball games, both as a fan and on the court. My varsity basketball team split up with the special needs players and played a game with the stands filled with WCA students cheering them on. I have also volunteered many times with Vigilant Hope both preparing and serving food to the homeless in the downtown Wilmington area.
