Personal Narrative: Fa Fab Four

There is No I in T E A M A lot of the time cheerleaders are stereotyped as stuck up, pretty girls, with the mindset of being better than everyone else, well that is not always true. Being pretty is not only an outside appearance but, it is also the attitude you portray when dealing with others at Maumelle High School taught me a valuable lesson. I was on a team of twenty four girls and a hand full of them always wanted the spotlight. It was almost like they were all in competition with each other. Three of my teammates and I was not really in to being in the front all the. Cheering time like they were, so majority of the time we were left out. It escalated to the four of us always being in the back of group pictures to not being invited to “team” bonding outside of school. The more they thought of only themselves the less important we became. Being isolated from the group majority of the time brought us closer together we called ourselves the ‘Fab Four” and from that day forward we always had each other. …show more content…
We also had Triority and The Glam Girls only thing difference about the two groups and us was they had no problem inviting each other to outside functions. Fab Four would always see pictures or videos of how much fun the team had together. We were convinced that was the closest we were going to get to “team” bonding. We tried not to sit and pout about it, so we took it upon ourselves to have our own fun. The girls at practice would always see us dancing, laughing, and always making practice seem better then what it actually was. We even had a theme song for our group that we would say every once in a while.
