Personal Narrative: Eulogy For Grandfather

Weeks have past since Jack has been in the hospital, still in recovery. I grew more worried for him each day; unsure why I would be worried about him. He only was hunting in the woods with Anti….it shouldn't be THAT bad.

I was home, and it was christmas day. I was sad that Jack was in the hospital on this day, I couldn't visit him, my parents never let me.

I sat on the floor at 12 am on a christmas day, my gifts opened on the floor.

KNOCK

I stood up quickly, and was wondering who would be at the door at 12 am! I walked to the door, I looked out the window.

Nothing oddly showed up but a box, that was all I saw. Not even a person in sight.

I opened the door and picked the box up, and brought it inside. Closing the door behind me, I put the box down and saw a letter in the box when I opened it. The letter read.

We have to tell you that your grandparents were moved into a retirement home a week ago, they seemed fine, and was getting back to the shedule of taking their medicine. Grandmother is still alive, luckily, but she is in very deep depression, we are unsure if she will die soon.

Tears started to burn in my eyes, the tears stung like fucking hell. I wiped my eyes and looked over to my phone, I had a message from Anti. Anti must've put his contact in my phone before I left.
