ATV
It was a hot day even for weather in India. The rays of the sun pressed down on my face and neck. The wind rushed against my body as I the golf cart kept moving along the bumpy path. I was with my mom and younger cousin on the way to a track, where I was going to ,be a risk taker and try something new, ride an ATV for the time in my life. As the we neared the track, I could make a large circular like dirt path, but this wasn’t any old dirt path. It was huge almost the size of a football field and not to mention the various ramps and hills positioned throughout the course. The golf cart started slowing down as we had reached the track. It wasn’t that I didn’t like him or anything but I really wanted to try riding on my own any without guidance. As soon as he was a few feet away from me, I took off.
I had never felt so free before if I had gone any faster I’m sure I would have fell off. Soon the first turn up. Before when I was riding with the instructor I slowed us down. But now I was having too much fun, I maintained my speed and sped through it. Then I saw it, my first ramp by myself. I started accelerating myself as much as I could but I didn't know if I could make the jump, adrenaline started coursing through my body and felt like my heart was beating just as fast as I was moving. I came closer, and closer, and closer until I finally hit the ramp. The 600 pound beast and I were thrown into the air.It felt like my heart had stopped for seconds in the eternity I was in the air for. Suddenly I came crashing down with the vehicle under me.
By now you’d think I would have some sense scared into me and stopped but nope, I couldn’t help myself and kept repeating this over and over for who knows. But finally I saw the instructor signal me to slow down. I pulled over near them and walked over to them.
“It looked like you were enjoying yourself, right?” My mom
