Personal Narrative

I have been to three different schools throughout my entire life. These schools have shaped me into what i am today. I have always thought that everything happens for a reason. Going to these three different schools has led me to where I am today. I’ve experienced a lot throughout the past couple of years. The first school I had ever been to was Cimarron High School. I started there when I was in kindergarten. Throughout those years I had a tough time making friends. I wasn't necessarily rich and to be popular there you had to have a known last name. I remember at recess none of the girls would like me because I was always playing football and soccer with their boyfriends. Maybe they were just jealous because I could

I had heard about there being gangs and fights happening in the school and coming from a small town where nothing ever happens except, someone robbing the bank and getting away with it, I was scared. I drove a little blue Boniville and pulling into the parking lot I knew immediately i had parked in the wrong place. There were brand new pickups and jeeps everywhere and here I am in my little blue car just trying to find my way around. The traffic was terrible. There is only one entrance and one exit and it takes forever to get in and out of that place. Walking into school on my first day I was blown away. I remember walking into the front doors and there were hundreds of people. I almost felt as if i had never seen so many people in one space. I hustled to my first class and saw a few people I knew hardly. I walk into my class and everyone turns around and just stares at me. The teacher had welcomed me and everyone in the class and then I realize that I am the only person who can speak english in my class. Everyone of the students in there had a translator with them. Right then and there I felt so out of …show more content…
Coming from a 3A school to a 6A school I knew that sports were going to be way more competitive. After a couple of our practices we had our first game against Wichita West. When we got there we had to go through metal detectors and let me tell you I was the only one freaking out about it. All the other girls walked through it like it was nothing. When I saw some of the girls we were playing I knew that it was going to be really tough. The first time I got into that game a 5’1 black girl drove on me and as I tried taking a charge she lowered her shoulder and dropped me harder than I've ever hit the ground. I knew then that 6A ball was way tougher than anything I've ever

Growing up I was always the tallest kid in the class. Whenever class picture day rolled around, I knew that I was in the front of the line because of my height. It was somewhat embarrassing when all the boys were shorter than I, and the girls made me feel bad for how out of place I was. Not only did my height provide social awkwardness, it also administered the constant, never ending struggle of finding garments long enough. Whenever my mom or grandmothers wanted to take me back to school shopping, I made excuses of “I don’t need any more habiliments” or “I do not feel good, all of the sudden…”…
