It was a weekend the girls had been looking forward to for a long time. Phoebe, Betty and Reagan had organized a short camping trip at a state park not far outside of their town. As soon as the choir rehearsal ended on Friday afternoon, the girls hopped into Reagan’s car and began their vacation. All three of the girls were talented and passionate musicians, ranking highly in the top choir and band of their school, and would never dream of missing a rehearsal. After an exciting hour in the car, the girls arrived at the state park and signed in. They parked and spilled out of the car, stretching their legs and taking pictures of the beautiful trees that shrouded the area. The girls were even more dumbfounded, and Phoebe stated to get angry at their new visitor. “What are you talking about? We don’t have anything to prove to you or whatever. We’re just trying to camp out here in the woods. Last time I checked, this isn’t your private ‘haven’ but a public park. Who the hell are you, anyway?” she spat, her voice shaking a bit from anger but also fear. The interloper’s devilish grin deepened and she let out a haughty laugh. “It doesn’t matter who I am. The only thing that matters is who has the most beautiful voice of us all.” She could see that the other girls are growing annoyed, so she continued. “Look, I’ll tell you what. Humor me in a contest, and if you win, I’ll leave you guys alone to continue your little party out here, and whatever else you wish.” The girls were becoming impatient of the girl ruining their adventure, so Reagan gave in. It was an incredibly strange request, but the group was getting quite tired after the long day, so they didn’t question it. “Fine, whatever. But what if we don’t win?” she asked.
