Albert Einstein, one of the most intelligent people who lived, once said “I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction.” The world will have a generation of idiots. If you believe it or not that's turning out true. People are now using phones at the dinner table while eating causing them to lose family time. Most people's phones die before 4:00 p.m. that's because they are on them all day. People start becoming attached to their phones because they rely on them so much I was just sitting in math class when suddenly Thomas pushed my binder off the desk and onto the chair. I yelled at Thomas, “Why would you push my binder off my desk and onto the chair!” “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to push your binder off the desk.” Your stuff on my desk and in my way,” Thomas replied. “Thomas my phone was in that binder,” I yelled. The phone started beeping and the screen turned blue. I was so furious at Thomas, but I knew that he didn’t mean to break my phone. Later we took it to Verizon to get it checked out they said that the motherboard snapped and they needed to get a new phone or pay to have it fixed. We chose to get a new phone because it would have been cheaper. My parents gave me one of their old phones it was a Galaxy S3 as a replacement till we get a new one. Later that month we were …show more content…
During lunch I was eating a messy spaghetti and meatballs. Some sauce got on my new jacket so, I went to the bathroom to clean up. While I was in the bathroom with my phone it slipped out of my hands and landed in the toilet. Frantically I grabbed it out of the toilet and I tried cleaning it off. The screen stayed black and would not turn on at all. My head was spinning because I had no idea what I was going to tell my mom and dad. I knew they would be mad at me for breaking another phone, especially since I just got this phone. For the rest of the trip I wouldn't have a phone and wouldn't be in touch with my

How do life experiences shape our values? A way life experiences shape our values is when we run away from a problem and later learn something, good or bad, from it. In Tom Sawyer, Tom runs away because he thinks nobody loves him and later learns they do but in their own way. In “Abuela Invents the Zero”, Constancia runs from her grandmother and the fact she is related to her, later she learns she should care about her. An example from my life is when I did something that made my mother scared and I ran inside because I was afraid of getting yelled at, later I knew not to do something like that.…

It’s late at night; I received a phone call saying it was blocked. I answered the phone call, noticing that I'm home alone, after a long nap. I said “This dude is a loser always prank calling random people.” The person with a deep voice said “he was in front of my house” and it was a rainy day. He was a tall man with an object in his hand looking like a knife, so I started panicking.…

Do you ever realise how attached we are to cell phones and how much we are dependant on them? Sadly most people do not realise this dependability that they have towards these devices, however Nicholas Carr, the author of “How Smartphones Hijack Our Mind,” took this into account and created an argument using statistics to improve credibility, precise word choice, and cause and effect situations to reiterate how we are being pulled into the devices. Carr included numerous experiments and statistics on how smartphones can impair our ability to think or focus. One of the experiments included students in a lecture hall and some had their phones while others did not, the aim was to see which student scored the highest between the two parties. The results of the experiment showed that “Students who didn’t bring their phones to class scored a full letter grade higher”(page…

First--though this option is not for everyone--you have the option of DIY repair. Here the astounding variation in prices can be confusing, and some technical knowledge can be of great assistance. You can purchase screen repair kits online, or from local vendors, but the prices range from around $12 to almost $70. The truth is, however, that the more expensive kits offer pretty much the same product as the less expensive ones, so read some reviews first, and go with a cheaper option. Also, be absolutely sure you get a kit that matches the exact model of your phone, keep in mind that the process will take you a few hours, and avoid a kit altogether if you feel you lack the technical know-how to comfortably perform the repair yourself.…

"The doom of all who harmed them was certain" (310). Before I started high school and learned how to drive, every day after finishing homework I would go to my neighborhood store to shop for confectionary and school supplies. Preparing to travel to the store, I checked the outside weather and it appeared like a bright and sunny day, until I got onto my bike. When I rode my bike for thirty minutes, the weather immediately turned from bright to gloomy; the gloom encompassed itself with heavy rain and wind, and I knew it was going to become a perilous journey to go back home. Similarly to Odysseus, I had to find a way for advice; only my safeguard came from a covered parking lot area, warding off the “ghosts” of wind and rain.…

It is a beautiful Friday morning in Los Angeles, California. The birds are chirping, the sky is blue, and I am clicking snoozing on my twenty-third alarm clock that is ringing. I am living alone in a studio apartment that is in a run-down building found in a decent neighborhood. My mother complains to me how bad the neighborhood is and how idiotic I am for not living with her after I graduated from California State University-Fullerton (C.S.U.F.). I would dismiss her complaints because I worked hard to save up the paychecks I made from working as a tutor when I attended C.S.U.F.…
