On June 6th I was feeling really sick that morning with terrible headaches and I would black out if I stood up . I told my mom then she called the doctors and she made my appointment to be seen. June 8th was the day of my doctors appointment, when I arrived I went in and told my doctor all of my symptoms she then told me just to take some tylenol for my headaches and try to stand up not so fast and if its not getting any better to call them . So me and my mom went home and I did what she told me to do for two days,but it still wasn’t getting an better , so my mother called my doctor. My doctor then said she would talk her advisor (the head doctor) and he said I needed to get a MRI asap (He scheduled my MRI June 13th). Three days later I went …show more content…
But I just kept saying be strong it's okay you can get through this. The next things we did was go look at my images and then after that they told me I was admitted into children's mercy hospital. When I arrived they got me into my room and did all of their check up things they are supposed to do. My surgeon Dr.Koffman then explain that I had a brain tumor growing off of my left ear canal nerve that is 4.5 cm and that it has been growing for awhile,and it is closing up my spinal fluid canal (only had 10 ml of room left) this is what was causing my headaches. My tumor was growing on my brain stem and pushing it sideways which was causing my blacking out, he had also told me that if they wouldn't have found it when they did I would have died a few months later. He said my surgery is on the 13th of June and he will test my tumor to see if it is cancerous or not. Three days later I had my surgery which was 15 hrs long, they removed 3 cms of my tumor (1.5cm left) and that I have a acoustic aroma tumor. I don't really remember much after surgery because I was on a lot of pain
