Taking long walks in the park, during the summer, is something my family and I love to do. Watching the wind blow through the bright green leaves on the tree’s, or feeling the warm, reviving sun radiating off my skin. Covering me in a blanket of sunshine. The sweet, fruity smell that lingers in the air is a smell I wish could stay in the air all year round. Even if the air conditioning is on, I still will open my bedroom window to let the smell of summer fill my room. For my family, summer seems to be a season that we are never home for. We are gone almost every weekend ,taking a small family road trip, or attending one of me or my sister’s activities. Everyone in my family enjoys riding bikes, running, and just having fun, and I am so glad that we all insist on doing it together. I was pumping my legs back and forth to try to get the highest first. I could see my dad out of the corner of my eye, he was getting close to me. Me and my dad were swinging at the same tempo, It was a tie. But as soon as my mom declared a tie between my dad and me, out of the left corner of my peripheral vision I saw the bottom of my dad's bright red swing fall out from underneath of him with a loud snap, and a thump as he hit the ground. While he came tumbling to the ground, unfortunately, his pants did not. His most esteemed St.Louis cardinal baseball shorts had been caught on the hook of the swing, and completely ripped off his legs. I jumped out of the swing in one swift motion and doubled over laughing on the ground, mostly because there was a whole group of onlookers sitting in the pavilion, stifling what looked like sneers of amusement. I can’t even perceive the amount embarrassment my dad was going through. He bolted to the men's restroom and waited there until my grandma arrived with another pair of pants, and a ride to take us all
