My family and I have been wanting a dog for about a year now. We have been checking the animal shelters for a long time, and we still havent found a dog that right for us. One day I had just finished gymnastics class and I was waiting for my mom to pick me up. I was waiting inside the building because it was to cold outside to wait for my mom. A couple seconds later my mom walks in to get me, so I grab my things and we head outside. After we got into the car my mom spots a dog. She questioned herself " I wonder if I should ask that women what kind of dog that is?" I stated " Please go ask her!" She finally decided to roll down the window and ask. She rolled down the window and questioned. " Excuss me what kind of dog is that?" The lady …show more content…
I went up to the dog to pet her. She was so sweet and gentle. The lady stated " She is up for addoption if your intrested! And just so you know my name is Erika" My mom said " why dont i get your phone number so I can call you, If we decide to adopt her"
Erika reponds " Sure! I have a card with all of the information on it"
She reaches into the car door to pull it out, She hands it to my mom. I really wanted to get this dog I felt like this was the dog to fit our family. My mom got Erika's card with all of the information about adopting a dog on it. When we got home mom, dad , my brother vince and I all talked about what our responsibilitys would be if we got the dog. After talking we decided to get the dog. My mom called Erika and talked to her about it. Erika said that we had to go online and fill out the application to get the dog, So she did, It took alot of waiting to find out if we got approved to get the dog. After a few days we got a call from the animal shelter saying that we could get the dog. I was so excited!
