“No, my dear,” she said “Only you.” At this Billy quickly jumped up from his chair and not caring that it was dark ran for the door. But the landlady was fast for her age. She jumped up right after him as if she was expecting this to happen. As she was running after him, he stumbled on the entry rug and she caught up to him. She grabs him by the arm and says in a soft voice, “Why are you running, you are the only company I’ve got and you run away.” Billy responds oi a angry and frightened tone saying, “You murderer. You killed Christopher and Gregory. And your only company before me was them. Even though they’re dead you stuffed them just like these animals, just so you could talk to them?” He was absolutely positive that he had read about them in the newspaper. …show more content…
Christopher M. and Gregory W. Missing. She takes him to his room and throws him in the room. She says, “Well, now I can’t let you go because you will go and tell the police. So I guess you’ll have to stay here until I decide what to do with you.” The landlady closes the door and put a table in front of the door so that billy can’t get out. There is no window in his room, which he found odd since every other room had a window. A few days pass and he hears the sound of a heavy object moving on the ground. He thinks it the landlady telling him what his punishment is. The door opens and someone he knows walks in. He forgets the name, but he’s positive he’s seen the face before. “Hi son,” the person says “I’m here to rescue you.” Billy questions the person saying “Dad?” Just then he is waken up by the sound of pounding on the door. The landlady opens the door with a knife. She says,”It’s time.” Billy is afraid. The landlady charges with the knife, but Billy dodges. This sequence goes on for a while. Then Billy starts to fight back with the old lady. She jabs and he grabs the hilt of the
