April 15th, 2001, my birthday. I was born in Bath, Somerset, a small city outside London. My mum is Scottish and my dad is Omani, so people usually say I’m a bit of a weird mix. If we fast forward a bit to January 7th, 2014, it is my first day at TAISM. I just remember being scared out my mind and worried nobody would like me, but moving schools is definitely the best academic decision I have made. I previously went to The Sultan's School, and dreaded getting up in the morning because of it. I found joy in getting my hands messy with the paint and then transforming a white piece of paper into a something more than that with a rainbow of colors. In school, I always made sure to take all the possible art classes that were available and would fit my schedule. I also began to get more in involved in after school clubs such as the National Art Honor Society and the SmART Club where we did several art projects every week. On my last year of high school I decided to challenge myself and I took AP Studio Art: Drawing Portfolio.…

College is a life changing investment that prepares for life and career. The vast spectrum of knowledge, skills obtained, and experiences from a college degree more than compensates for the monetary cost of tuition. Creating art is my passion; I have always wanted to become a great artist ever since I was a child drawing on my walls and copying pictures from books. I have devoted my life to improving my talents by illustrating my own stories, practicing drawing daily, and challenging myself to earning my own money doing what I love by drawing commissions. Learning how to communicate through illustration is a valuable skill that will live with me for the rest of my life and progressing my artist career.…

As actors, we must come to the realization that we are not in a stable career field. With that being said, it is in our best interest to have a backup plan of other possibilities in the arts so that we do not find ourselves wailing in the idea that we went to college for nothing. I am studying theatre in the performance aspect, concentrating in acting. I am actually leaning more towards the entertainment field rather than the artistic field, which does not require any sort of theatre education on a collegiate level, however I am here because while I want to be a screen actress, I do love theatre and I need the education in case I fail in my hopes and dreams. If that unfortunate occurrence comes true, my “Plan B” is to either be a director or a playwright.…
